How do I add companies to my list?

You can add companies manually by searching for a ticker or company name, or import a brokerage CSV. You do not need to connect a brokerage account or share login credentials.

Do I need to add my whole portfolio?

No. You can add only the companies you care about, your largest holdings, or the stocks with upcoming votes. Proxy Intelligence works fine with a partial list.

Why enter share count or dollar value?

Share count and dollar value are optional. They are there to help you prioritize your list, for example by focusing first on your largest positions. They do not change the proxy analysis, and Proxy Intelligence does not need them to explain ballot items.

Where does the proxy information come from?

Proxy events and ballot details are sourced from public SEC EDGAR DEF 14A proxy filings. When a filing is available, the app links back to the original SEC source so you can review the underlying document.

What does the AI analysis cover?

The AI reads the proxy filing and breaks down each ballot item into practical sections: what is being voted on, why the board supports or opposes it, relevant advocacy context, peer comparison, and implications for shareholders.

Your saved companies, optional share counts, optional dollar values, and notes are used to organize your Proxy Intelligence experience. Proxy analysis is generated from public SEC filings, not from your share count. You do not need to provide brokerage credentials or account numbers.

Can Proxy Intelligence cast my vote for me?

No. The app helps you understand the issues before you vote, but it does not submit ballots. You still cast your vote through your brokerage or the official proxy voting platform listed in your proxy materials.
